Hi
It is that time of year again,…Christmas!!! I have bundled together all of my zentangle doodle images and added extra slides based on Christmas images. there are lots of examples and ready made templates, which give students the option to colour in, add pattern or draw designs freely.
A great end of term FUN cover set of work to keep the students busy and engaged.
Ideally suitable for students aged 6 upwards
About Zentangle:
A zentangle doodle is “A drawing created without full attention by creating beautiful images from repetitive patterns. It is a fascinating new art form that is fun and relaxing. It increases focus and creativity and is perfect as an activity to be completed whilst at home
Thank you
Hi everyone
I have been teaching for 4 weeks now from home and I wanted to share with you how to create a voice over using Screencastify.
I promise you it has changed my way of teaching and so far, the students have loved having the lessons delivered this way.
It goes through the very basic steps of how to download and install the app, how to record, trim and how to download and share with your students.
FYI: Anyone who is not very techy can do this.
I have attached 3 files:
1: A 4 minute video demonstrating step by step instructions on how to use screencastify
2: The 4 minute video I used to show my Year 9 Art class
3: The Powerpoint for my lesson
Any questions about this resource, please feel free to email me

Thank you

Hi everyone
This is one of my favorite and most successful Year 9 projects. This powerpoint has 80 slides and is based on the topic “Food”
Students will be given a design brief to create a food inspired desert poster for a food company of their choice.
They will be given the opportunity to research their chosen company, then they will decide on their chosen cake/desert item. This could be cupcakes, donuts, ice cream etc. They will explore drawing their chosen item in different styles: Realism, expressively and in a vintage style.
They will explore 2 different artists: Realism and expressionism.
Once they have developed these skills they will plan their final poster ideas.
They will have the choice to make it digitally or draw and add chosen media.
This full project can be used for Year 9, GCSE or AS students and is is a scheme of work which will last 1-2 terms. It has examples of students work and artist images for you to use and share with students.
I hope you find this project inspiring.
Thank you
